A Family Calling: Making your Home a Deuteronomy 6:4-9 with Blessings Unlimited

For the next several days, I am writing about how the message of these well-known verses (called the Shema verse), can be lived out.  I am featuring DaySpring’s Blessings Unlimited products to show how to make this a family calling in your home.

We cannot give away what we do not ourselves possess.  If our desire is for our children and grandchild to Love the Lord – then we ourselves must be in a thriving, growing, relationship with our Lord and Savior.  All of our relationships take time – time invested in listening, talking and being together.  Your and my relationship with our Heavenly Father is the same and it grows by reading His Word, Prayer and Fellowship.  Here are some Blessings Unlimited products that will help you grow in your relationship with God.

Blessings Unlimited Spring Catalog – Season of Renewal

Journaling for yourself and the next generation

After my grandmother’s passing, the grandchildren were invited to her house to reminisce and select special items we wanted to keep. I walked on the back porch where my grandparents used to sit on summer evenings and talk. This woman writer named Carol, understands my passion and calling to leave a voice of faith to the next generation.  I love that the verse she used to frame her blog is very much like the theme verse for my blog….

Hers – We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done.” Psalm 78:4

Mine – “He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and compassionate.”  Psalm 111:4

(In the Psalms there are 15 references to the wonders God has done.  Take a minute and do a search for wonders on www.biblegateway.com .  How important it is to God that we remember His wonders).
