Recently, I was asked what type of a job title I wanted as I do marketing for a Christian Company.  That request really took me back, as I have forgotten how important titles are.  I know that throughout my career when I have taken other jobs - it has always been exciting to receive new [...]

Tonight I learned that I have only visited 4% of the world (check out my travel map). ~ there are so many places to see and learn about.   Several years ago, I bought my husband an atlas and now we use it almost every week.  How big the world is; there are so many people to [...]

HOME is where My HEART is

It is such a comforting feeling to see your husband at the airport with flowers (which is very European and very appreciated), and to know that he is glad to see you even when you have been up for almost 24 hours and look a mess.   How fun it was as well, that he brought 2 of Audrianna’s [...]

Last Day in Latvia

This will be short message as our time is coming to an end very soon.  This morning we visited a baby orphanage in Riga - they have around 70 children there from 2 months old to age 6.  We first played with the healthy children and then spent time with the handicapped children.  There was a little [...]

Our Latvia Mission Team

A major part of this trip has been the connections we have made with our team members.  We are 31 USA citizens from PA, OH, IN, ID and TX - but the unity comes from our true citizenship in Christ.  Audrianna is the youngest on the team at 15 1/2 and the oldest member of the [...]

Living out Love in Latvia

Audrianna titled our writing today - and that is just what we did today — LOVE.
We started the day at the Liepaja Baby Home where they have 114 children, most of  whom are severely handicapped.  The staff brought about 15-20 children, ages 2-7, to visit with us.  They sang and played games for us and [...]

Orphanage Visits

Today we left Riga and traveled to Liepaja, which is a naval port city.  It took about 3 hours to get here by bus.  I had a good time on the bus, especially when I put our family photos in an album with Candy Stark family photos (Julia Stark’s Mom, Julia works for Buckner)  - [...]
