Tuesday 10 – 10 Wonderful Things that happened this week
1. Today is Laryssa’s (my middle daughter) birthday. Bill and I enjoyed a very nice dinner with her tonight and are looking forward to celebrating her birthday with our family this weekend. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LARYSSA!!!!
2. Audrianna presented information about her mission’s trip to Latvia with Shoes for Orphan Souls to a home-school co-op on Monday (I enjoyed being with her and sharing a few of my experiences as well). I was so proud of her passion for the Latvian orphans and for all of the work she did in preparation for this event.
3. I met 40+ Godly Women in Texas at the retreat this weekend. I enjoyed each minute we spent together and I hope they learned as much as I did.
4. I got to tour the Shoes for Orphan Soul warehouse in Texas. It is amazing how a simple pair of shoes will open the door to a child’s heart. It made me remember our trip with Buckner International to Latvia in 2007.
5. Spending time with my friend Candy (from our Latvia trip) made me appreciate how God brings people together. She is such a good friend – easy to be around and someone that I feel like I have known all of my life.
6. Sweet email and phone messages from my family letting me know that they were thinking and praying for me.
7. Worshipping with the First Baptist of Lancaster, Texas congregation really completed a special weekend. I really appreciate when I can stay and worship with the women I have served.
8. Coming home and being met by Bill at the airport (even though my plane was an hour late – he was still smiling and happy to see me).
9. I had a great 31 party with a special mom who just started her business. 31 is a faith based company that offers personalized, unique items (especially fun purses – I am excited to receive mine).
10. Taking a long nap on Monday after a very busy weekend of travel and ministry.
