Meeting the Friend Who Understands

A good friend of mine works for Moody Publisher; she recently asked me to review Jill Savage’s new book, REAL Moms…REAL Jesus which was just released yesterday. Of course, I said yes with joy and excitement!! Over the years, I have come to admire Jill for many reasons~beginning with starting Hearts at Home Ministry. She has always been very personable every time I have ever been in contact with her (either in person or in email) - she is a a real Christian woman, wife and mom. So who better to write a book titled REAL Moms… REAL Jesus.

REAL Moms…REAL Jesus is a book I look forward to recommending to the many Moms I have the privileged to work with. It is easy to read and understand, which is really important for Moms who are busy doing what Moms do. Jill really understands what motherhood is all about – the constant job that has no job description or never ends. Jill reveals how Jesus completely understands the heart of a mother.

As a MOPS Mentor, I have often looked for books that understand what Moms actually deal with every day plus have a strong theology of God intimate knowledge of a Mother’s life. REAL Moms…REAL Jesus has exactly this mix. Chapter titles include:

How can God understand
Can I please go to the bathroom alone
I am so tired
There’s never enough money, time or me to go around!

I would love to go…how fun, you will be a great speaker there!!!

And I would like the book well because I am a book person…like to read and glean what information I can…and share what I can!!! And grow because of all of it!!!

The 2009 theme at Hearts at Home is “Real Moms, Real Lives, Real Stories”.

I would love to get the book so that I could give it to my daughter-in-law who just had her first child.

“Real Moms, Real Lives, Real Stories” I would love this because I am always trying to find ways to apply Jesus into my everyday life as a mother. Something I constantly struggle with.

The theme this year: Real Moms, Real Lives, Real Stories

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Hearts at Home – I attended the conference in Grand Rapids, MI last year and thoroughly enjoyed my day. I think Jill Savage is a phenomenal person!

I’d love the book – I’m always interested in growing as a person – as a mom and as a Christian.

Theme: Real Moms, real lives/real stories (it looks real good

I’m a new mom, which means I’m muddling through trying to figure out my faith and my rel’p with Jesus now that this new really important little person is taking up nearly A-L-L of my thought-space. How does my rel’p with Jesus change as a mom? How does it grow deeper? And how the heck to I spend good time with him? These are all questions and ideas I’m working through right now as a new mom…

The theme for 2009 is “Real Moms, Real Lives, Real Stories”. I would like to have this book, first to read for myself. I have two ADHD boys (11 and 8 yrs old) and four grown kids. These last two are a lot harder than the other four were, whether its the ADHD, or the fact that I am older, I dont know. Second, I want to pass it on to my daughter, who is a working mom, with three children of her own, and can use all the encouragement she can get…

Real Moms, Real Lives, Real Stories is the H@H theme for the conferences this year. I’ve been fortunate enough to have attended a Mom’s Day Out when it was offered on the west coast. What an encouraging time for me as a mom. After the day spent listening to other moms, I was refreshed and reenergized to go home and give my family my best! I know I won’t get to attend the conference this year, but I would love to read what Jill Savage has to say in this, her newest book. I loved “Professionalizing Motherhood”! which I read when my son was an infant. I’d love to see what tips Jill has for really living out my belief in God as I raise my children. The 2009 theme for the National Hearts at home conference is “Real Moms, Real Lives, Real Stories”.
I would love to have Jill Savage’s new book “Real Moms… Real Jesus.” I thought about buying the book when I registered for the conference, but I chose to wait til March. I think I would definitely benefit from winning this book, because I am currently in the process of having a stronger relationship with Jesus. I want to be a better wife, mom and person. I am hoping that this book will help me with meeting my goals and helping me become closer to God. It will give me strength to become a better wife/mom in the eyes of Jesus.

Theme 2009 “Real Moms, Real Lives, Real Stories”‘…….This was the first time I visited Hearts at home website and I loved it!….I then passed the web page to my sister Nicole who is battling many challenges in her life and has been for quite sometime with an added 2 year old of course. The website was peaceful and very informative and fun!……When I finish reading this book wich seems to give HOPE back I will pass this on to my sister for her to read so she can reconnect with herself and know God does understand her tiredness, brokeness, and never alone moments she endures every day…….Thank you for this wonderful opportunity, and thank you for getting me hooked on the Hearts Site!
