I regularly read Rocks in My Dryer and Shannon (the blog’s author) has been doing a series titled “What I’d like you to know”. Throughout this series, she has had women as guest writers on her blog; they have written about:
- Being a Mother to Autstic Children
- Being a Wife to a Deployed Soldier
- Being a Mother to a Still Born Child
- Being a Mom to Many
- Being a Mom to an Only Child
And her current author writes about
I could relate so much to this post on living with a chronic illness, that I left this comment…
As someone who has lived with insulin dependent diabetes for 27 years and has been hooked up to an insulin pump for 15 years – I too can certainly relate. The hardest thing about a chronic illness is that people grow weary of asking and praying – so you learn to live quietly with it. I often wish for just a few days vacation from the constant concern of blood sugars, insulin calculations and food issues.
Although I will thank my chronic illness as it has driven me to my Lord and the truth of His word often.
Thank you for sharing your story and may you know the Lord’s presence with you today …
Blessings,
Sandy
